* We are seeking a director of intellectual property with at least 5 years experience to join our St. Petersburg team to help us develop and strengthen our global patent portfolio. The position will work with our US and St. Petersburg team to mine and protect innovative software technologies.

* Responsibilities:

*

• Working closely with individual engineering and product teams and our US patent counsel to assist with invention capture, and implementing a patent filing strategy to protect strategic innovations.
• Strategically manage and utilize our growing patent portfolio.
• Support in-house and outside patent prosecution and litigation attorneys.

* Experience/Skills Required:

• Licensed attorney.
• Experience with general patent counseling, patent related transactions and licensing, patent opinion work (invalidity/non-infringement) and/or patent litigation, and preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
• Experience in trademarks is also strongly preferred.
• Bachelor Degree in EE or CS or significant software experience; computer industry experience desirable; advanced technical degree a plus.
• Ability to quickly absorb new information.
• Strong communications skills, particularly in counseling or communicating with senior executives.
• Strong software technology and development knowledge or experience.
• Proficiency in English.
