POSITION PURPOSE

• To assist US based Legal Division / Local Legal Department in providing legal and regulatory support to Amway Russia

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide legal support for Amway Russia operations, including reviewing, drafting, amending, negotiating of contracts.
• Conducting regulatory reviews of new initiatives, advising on and coordinating corporate and compliance measures and eliminating compliance risks
• Counseling on marketing, IP, licensing, employment, corporate, operational, customs matters.
• Due diligence, drafting and registering corporate and charter documents of the Company.
• Assess exposures and advise management on how to minimize exposures with respect to regulatory schemes impacting Amway Russia’s business.
• Assist US-based Regional Counsel with drafting and negotiating Intercompany Agreements on matters appropriately referred to Intercompany charges, Customs (import/export) issues, Marketing initiatives,
• Provide support for regional projects: new products launch, new pick up points opening, advertising campaign, etc.
• Drafting, reviewing, updating OOO Amway's Policies (internal - for employees and external - for distributors); providing legal advice to distributors and all departments.
• Preparing claims to the counterparties in case of existing contracts violation/failure of performance of services.
• Negotiations with state authorities (Office of Public Prosecutors, Rospotrebnadzor, tax authorities) in terms of possible audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Law degree
• 2-5 years corporate experience at MNC, major international law firm or top-tier Russian law firm;
• Fluent spoken and written English,
• Excellent Russian;
• Solid judgment and demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice and counsel in view of conflicting or unclear legislative/regulatory mandates;
• Ability and desire to provide legal solutions to complex business and regulatory issues in order to support management’s business goals;
• Articulate, communicative, open-minded;
• Proactive approach
• Ability to influence others while operating within a team;
• Highest degree of ethics, honesty and conviction;
• Process oriented – sensitivity to appropriate handling of matters through established procedures;
• Familiarity with US MNC environment is a plus.
